Does Chirpy actually fly?
No, it can't take off. It flaps, chirps and trembles right where it lands. Hang it from a doorway on a string, though, and it flutters in mid-air like a bird at the window. That's when the hunting really starts.
Is it loud?
You'll hear a soft motor whir while the wings move, plus short chirps. It goes quiet when it rests, so it won't run all night.
How long does a charge last?
About an hour of charging gives up to about 260 flap sessions, based on our supplier's tests. It sleeps between pounces to save battery.
Will my cat destroy it?
It's soft plush made for biting and kicking. Very determined chewers can pull a feather loose over time. Watch the first few play sessions and put it away if it gets damaged.
Is it safe for my cat?
The eyes are stitched, not glued, and the motor sits inside a zipped pocket. Keep the charging cable out of reach and take out the motor before washing.
My cat is older. Will it still work?
Many older cats warm up within a few days. Start with the gentle speed and add the catnip pouch to spark interest.
